To begin with, they ARE NOT made with wheat wraps, they ARE NOT covered in yellow-plastic-ky-looking cheese, and they ARE NOT baked in the oven. Most importantly, they are NEVER, EVER in a pack! So forget all you know about enchiladas and join us for an evening of discovering. Let us show you how to make 4 different types of 'en-adas' (en-chil-adas, en-tomat-adas, en-mol-adas and enchiladas verdes).

Tamales Workshop

Tamales are one of Mexico's most popular and traditional dishes. They've been cooked and eaten in Mexico since Aztec and Mayan times! Come and learn to make tamales with us in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere at Picado Mexican Pantry. Learn the ancient art of this delicious dish and sit down to enjoy a meal of tamales at the end. Places are very limited, so booking is essential.

Nearly every family would have a salsa recipe of their choice, using locally grown chilies and other ingredients and ranging from toasted and boiled, to roasted or fried; every bowl tells a different story that pays tribute to a culinary heritage of millennia.

Join us and learn to make Tamales Oaxaca style from scratch. Tamales are delicious, freezer friendly and can be done with a variety of fillings both meat and vegetarian ones! They are the ultimate party food.

Coeliac Tortilla Workshop

Let's face it, being Coeliac really sucks! It is very difficult to eat out safely and most of the things I love, like bread and pasta, are sort of out of bounds. Thank God, I am not Coeliac, but I have a lot of friends who are and they have opened my eyes to the plight of the intolerance. Whenever I cook for my workshops I always cater for that, so it occurred to me that I should really do one Coeliac dedicated workshop!

Salsas play a huge role in Mexican cuisine, this workshop is specially for those mad about this Mexican dish. During the workshop, I'll show you how to make 6 different salsas: 2 dipping salsas, 2 marinading salsas and 2 cooking salsas.

We'll get you all the tips and tricks of good salsa making and we'll be talking about fresh and dry chilies and how they differ between heat and flavour. At the end of the class, we'll enjoy a light meal with the fruits of our labour.

Tortilla Making Workshop...

The hugely popular tortilla making workshop is back. Join us and have a go at making your own corn tortillas. The workshop will also show you how to make 2 to 3 taco fillings and a salsa made from scratch. We'll start with a few nibbles, some demo and then a bit of hands on. At the end we will sit down and enjoy the fruits of our labour with a light meal.
