Where to buy
Description :Poblano Peppers are large, coned shaped pepper that are grown in the Puebla Region in Central Mexico. They are very mild in heat but flavoursome and of a deep green colour and when ripen, they become a deep red with a much hotter taste. When green, they are fabulous for stuffing and widely used in soups and beef dishes. When dried, they become ancho peppers and flavour most of Pueblas moles. They're one of my favourite pepper. The tinned variety has been charred and peeled (a job that's quite labour intense when you get them fresh) and they have been sliced for convenience. Having spent years without them, I was thrilled to find the tinned variety here, so go on, get some and enjoy them!
