There are many tequila & Mezcal brands available in Ireland, don't settle for the commercially available ones in supermarkets and crappy off licenses.

A good Tequila, like a good whiskey or brandy, should be aged properly. It should be made of 100% blue agave, which takes time to grow and mature. When it come to Mezcal, the 'reposados' or aged ones are great, if you can get a smoked one even better!

I absolutely love the selection available in the Celtic Whiskey Shop in Dawson Street. Although I grant you not the cheapest, these guys take care in brigning the best of tequilas & Mezcales to Ireland and their online shop is super good!
