While on my yearly holiday in beautiful West Cork last year, I spent a lot of time eating and shopping in one of my favourite shops in the whole wide world: Mannings Food Emporium in Ballylickey. This 70 year old shop has it all, amazing food, wine, service and the charmiest of owners. It exemplifies, in my humble opinion, all a specialty shop should be about: quality, local produce, provinance and most of all, knowledgable, friendly staff. We practically live there every year while on holidays!
Last year, Andrew and Laura, the shop keepers, asked us would we come and do a demo and pop up. We of course said yes and despite all the craziness of the month, the date finally arrives this week! If you are in the area, pop in and enjoy an afternoon demo and an evening pop-up of Mexican food and local ingredients. We'll love to see you there!
